Scuba Madness Inc
raised over $8100 for six different charities during the Third
Annual Underwater Monopoly Fundraiser on April 15, 2000.
Six teams battled it out for their charities for seven hours on
a 10'x10' board in the deep end of the Florence Family YMCA
pool. |
 |
The Doggie Divers
won the game, and their charity receives a much needed 25% of
the money that was raised ($2025.00). The other teams'
charities receive 15%. |
|
A silent auction
was held pool side. Players and spectators bid on a
Sherwood BCD, Bare wetsuit, a Pelican dive light, T-shirts, and
many other items. A raffle was also held with the grand
prize being a Genesis regulator. Children's games and
Discover Scuba classes were also held during the game. |
